These two people right here hold a special place in my heart. I’ve been friends with Joseph since the 7th grade, where our relationship first started out as mutual hatred. And I honestly don’t know why we couldn’t stand each other, which is even dumber. Bless our little 7th-grade dramatic hearts, lol… They say love and hate are two horns on the same bull. And I guess they are right about that. Once Joseph and I matured a bit and got a grip, we found a really great friendship underneath all that nonsense. From there, the rest is history. He’s been a great friend to me, and I love ’em to pieces. When we were shooting Saturday he reminded me of the time when he washed my car for me in high school, simply because he couldn’t stand the filth anymore! #embarrassed. Y’all! He wouldn’t even park next to me in the parking lot at school! Two things you should know about the high school me: I was a cheerleader and I grew up on a dirt road… Can you imagine what my car looked like? Yep, my car was always covered in dirt and caked up in spirit-decorated window paint! That’s a true friend, folks! What kind of a friend was I to let him clean that?! At least I can look back now and blame it on my teenaged ignorance…
Needless to say, Joseph is one of my best guy friends. And I’m so incredibly happy that he has someone as fabulous as Danielle in his life. She is a beautiful and sweet person, and I just know that they will have a great marriage. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding day in September! I have to brag on the fact that she had pretty much everything booked and planned within the first 2 weeks of their engagement! She truly is that fabulous! And she’s short like me, so of course she gets brownie points for that! 😉
So when we shot on Saturday, we started out at Watson Mill Bridge State Park. It was the most perfect March day! Sunny and 70 degrees! Compared to all the snow we’ve had lately, that was an oasis! We were totally blessed to have such beautiful weather, (Thank You, Lord!). After we left there, we headed on over to the UGA campus where these two alumni lovebirds could nestle in some gorgeous golden hour light. Then, just as we were pulling into Joseph’s driveway to wrap up our session, we had to get out and take advantage of the amazing sunset sky. I threw a little off-camera-flash on them and boom—magic happened!… We had a great time. It was fun to catch up and shoot in this beautiful spring weather. Enjoy!
