I have always adored this child. It’s been one full year since Shelba’s newborn session. Even longer than a year since the first time I photographed her beautiful mommy. I have enjoyed each milestone session I’ve done with Shelba, but I have to ask myself where on Earth did those 365 days go?!

Babies change so much within their first year. Please, please, please make the time to document their sweet lives every day! And furthermore, don’t let those pictures sit on a cloud somewhere. Print them! Hang them on your walls at home. Put them in an album. Heck, put them in a shoebox! It is so important to have a tangible image to hold on to.

Everyone loves a good cake smash, am I right?! In fact, I think I’m in need of one of those myself! I was so excited to have been able to photograph Shelba’s first official cake smash session! We planned a session that would compliment her birthday party theme — unicorns! And oh my stars, she was a doll! I’m so happy with the photos and how the entire setup turned out.
