I started to realize during this session that Summer is ‘a comin’! Or maybe, better yet, it might already be here now! It was a very hot day, and as I greeted this wonderful family, I had to wipe the sweat from my brow. I’m pretty sure that the heat just happened to hit me so hard because we had had such a cool winter/spring and maybe my body just hasn’t gotten used to the transition yet. That’s my guess, but who knows?! I’m thankful for the warm weather, though. It’s been so beautiful watching the flowers bloom and feeling the warm sun on my face. Everything is so green and vibrant right now, it feels as if it’s reflecting on my heart as well.

Meet the Jones/Repac/Mills family! We had such a fun time shooting at the Athens Botanical Gardens. It was a great experience getting to know this beautiful family. I felt like we had an instant friendship connection because everyone was so warm, welcoming, and loving. One of the grandmothers from this session is from Croatia, and it was interesting getting to hear about her culture and where she lives. The grand boys call her “Baka” which is Croatian for “grandmother.” I know that getting this time to spend with her family here really means a lot to her. I am so glad she got to be a part of this fun experience.
