Shortly after Kayce and Jordy started getting to know each other over 4 years ago, they realized that they were practically neighbors! Now, it’s been almost one full year since he proposed to her in Colorado and we got to do some really great engagement photos to celebrate their love story right!

The State Botanical Garden of Georgia did not disappoint! It was a really pretty afternoon, and everything was beginning to bloom all around us! In February! Imagine that!

Right as we were getting started with the engagement shoot, Kayce told me that they had never ever had professional portraits done before! They were a little nervous about how this would all work out, but you would NEVER know that they weren’t pros at this! LOOK at the amazing portraits we got from this session!! Kayce made the props, too! Needless to say they were very happy with the results! And so am I!

When I first met with these two, we just clicked. Even after all the “business talk” was discussed during their consultation, we still carried on a conversation about life and such until I had to leave. We honestly could have continued hanging out all day! Jordy is also an entrepreneur at Watson Project Services, so naturally we had a lot to talk about from marketing to general business structures. Kayce and I were going back and forth with wedding planning ideas and swooning over her dreams already.

These two are so easy to get along with and they both just emanate such a warm and friendly attitude toward me. They couldn’t have been nicer or more encouraging to me! Yes, they are my clients but they honestly feel more like friends!

Jordy and Kayce, I am beyond excited for you! I can’t wait to photograph your gorgeous wedding at The Cotton Mill this Fall! It’s going to be so much fun!
