This past Saturday, I had the privilege of capturing Sarah and Ryan’s wedding—a day filled with love, elegance, and heartfelt emotion. Their celebration at Athens Cotton Press was a true reflection of their shared values: family, meaningful connections, and timeless beauty.
Sarah’s father, though no longer with us, was a poignant presence throughout the day, his memory honored in subtle yet touching ways. From the start, it was clear how deeply Sarah and Ryan cherish their loved ones. The bond between Sarah and her brother Nick was especially evident during their emotional First Look, a tender moment that highlighted the strength of family ties.
The couple’s own First Look followed at UGA’s North Campus, where they exchanged private vows in the golden light of the afternoon. This intimate moment—filled with love, gratitude, and quiet anticipation—was one of the most moving parts of the day. From there, we journeyed to North Campus for portraits, where the classic architecture and romantic setting perfectly complemented their elegant style.
Their ceremony was a celebration of love in all its forms. Surrounded by family and friends, Sarah and Ryan’s joy radiated as they promised forever to each other. The reception that followed was nothing short of spectacular, with a beautifully curated space that reflected their sophisticated taste. Candid moments of laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts filled the evening, showcasing the deep connections they share with those closest to them.
Sarah and Ryan’s wedding was a perfect blend of heartfelt emotion and joyful celebration. Documenting their love story was a true honor, and I wish them a future as beautiful as the day they became husband and wife.
For couples planning their wedding, let Sarah and Ryan’s day be an inspiration: celebrate what matters most, honor your story, and fill your day with love and intention.
About last weekend… Sunny + Jackson had the most lovely fall wedding day in Macon, Georgia. I wish you all could have experienced the ceremony with us. The chapel was packed from front to back, all in attendance reverently singing worship hymns as the couple began their ceremony. “It Is Well With My Soul” was […]
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Fourth Annual Santa Mini Sessions ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Last year’s Santa mini sessions were a hit! Honestly, I had just as much fun photographing the sessions as the kids did. I saw the most PRECIOUS children make their way through my studio in the sweetest, most adorable winter […]
I sure do hope that my boys are as sweet as Carter and Parker when they get a little older. I am telling you these kids are awesome! This family as a whole is absolutely wonderful! I loved every minute of our session. Family sessions are so important, in my opinion. Yes, family photography sessions […]
Today I did something that was long overdue. I took my son, Titus, out for portraits! I often hear my fellow photography friends say they have the hardest time getting photos of their own kids. Each year I am understanding that more and more. I’m glad I was able to catch these sweet photos in […]
When Megan shared with me what she was envisioning for her maternity session, she mentioned that she would love to do her maternity session at a barn in the middle of a field. Barns don’t particularly symbolize anything substantial in her life, it’s just what her mind’s eye saw when she imagined what she wanted […]
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times. Fall is my favorite time of year to photograph anything, everything, and everyone! I believe there are many many people who agree with me on this as well. That’s why my mini sessions have been a hit every fall season that I’ve hosted them.
I have always adored this child. It’s been one full year since Shelba’s newborn session. Even longer than a year since the first time I photographed her beautiful mommy. I have enjoyed each milestone session I’ve done with Shelba, but I have to ask myself where on Earth did those 365 days go?!
Dirt, rocks, and sticks. That’s pretty much all you need in life as a 2-year-old.
Harrison reminds me so much of my own son, who is only a few months older. Needless to say, I’m very experienced on photographing this age (thank goodness for high shutter speeds and AI Servo)! Two words to describe him; All Boy!… Harri, like most toddler boys, has an adventurous and energetic personality; ready for fun anytime, anywhere, and at any speed! He was a hoot and I had a blast photographing him and his parents during this family session at Memorial Park in Athens, Georgia.
